Hey there!
I’m often asked what the best strategy is to overcome overwhelm. My answer is always, start with your vision.
Having a vision, my friend, changes the way you work.
When you take the time to craft a vision for your life, it becomes easier to say no to the frivolous and yes to the critically important.
When you lead (and live) with your vision top of mind, you achieve what you want to achieve more easily, efficiently, and dare I say, more happily.
Your vision is your compass that will guide you from where you are right now to where you want to be. It encompasses all that you want to achieve, who you want to be, how you want to show up, and what’s truly important to you. It limits the chaos created by fits and starts, and bids adieu to the frazzled and harried days of unproductivity.
Your vision is the answer to the question, What do I want?
And, it comes to you in the quiet moments, when you still your mind and reflect; when you lower your guard and allow yourself to fully dream about what the future could hold for you; when you tap into the fullness and the beauty that you want to create.
What do you want?
Write the answer down (without censoring yourself). Capture any and all ideas, words, thoughts, phrases, images, feelings, and emotions that come to you. And, for more inspiration play around with the question several different ways…
WHAT do you want?
What DO you want?
What do YOU want?
What do you WANT?
Your goal is to come up with a statement or phrase that captures what you want to create for your life. A statement that will guide you, like a compass, from where you are right now to where you want to be.
Go ahead! Dream a little.
And, keep in touch! I’d love to hear what you come up with for your vision statement, so don’t hesitate to reach out with an email!
Big hugs,
Erin
P.S. I’m going live on Facebook on Thursday, 8/5 @ 1pm (PST) Join me for this “mini-webinar” of sorts, as we take a deeper dive into the magical process of creating your vision. https://www.facebook.com/erin.mecseji/
P.P.S. Are you thinking to yourself, “Who has the time to sit, reflect and dream about what I want? I’m way too busy!” Here’s the thing, if you want to break free of busy, and embrace peaceful productivity, you must spend some time thinking and dreaming about what you want to create. Otherwise, you’ll keep doing the same old things and getting the same old results.
