As a busy professional you have a whole lot on your plate. You’re juggling many balls in the air at the same time – your work, family, friends.
The problem with juggling so many balls is that it can quickly drain your energy, leaving you exhausted and not as effective at accomplishing what you want to accomplish. And further, when you are in constant motion, moving from activity to activity without much thought, you’re likely to experience frustration, overwhelm, anxiety, and eventually burnout.
It doesn’t have to be that way. But first you need do a little exploration into what exactly is sapping your energy. Most of us don’t take the time to reflect on this, thinking those activities or people that drain our energy are just a part of life…just the way it is. It’s not!
To begin, start making a list of those things in your life that drain your energy. These are the kinds of activities or people that give you a sense of UGH! when you think of them. Go ahead and begin making that list now and remember to include all areas of your life: work, personal, people, emotions.

COACHING CHALLENGE:
Identifiy as many Energy Drainers as you can. Then decide how you will either limit or eliminate them in your life. What will you do? When will you do it?
Now, how will you incorporate your Energy Gainers more consistently into your life? What needs to happen? What structures will help you keep them at the forefront?
Good luck & have fun playing with these concepts.
